Abstract

With the title of "Inheritance and Innovation Path of Historical Culture in Contemporary Environmental Design", this paper discusses how to preserve and develop historical and cultural elements in modern environment, and puts forward specific inheritance and innovation path. The research background is that with the acceleration of urbanization, the protection and utilization of historical and cultural resources have become the key to improve the quality of cities and promote sustainable development. Historical culture is not only an important source of inspiration for environmental design, but also a core element to enhance local identity and cultural identity. The purpose of this study is to explore the effective application of historical and cultural heritage in contemporary environmental design through literature review and case analysis.
