Abstract

The dance drama "The Wave that Never Dies" is co-created by Han Zhen and Zhou Lia. It is adapted from the true story of Li Bai, an underground radio broadcaster of the Communist Party of China. The drama reproduces the revolutionary hero who sacrificed his life for the cause of national liberation through the highly condensed narrative of the dance drama, the aesthetic image expression and the flexible and freehand stage background. This article aims to explore the artistic image shaping, main body presentation and aesthetic function in dance drama, and reveal the unique effect brought by the fusion of revolutionary spirit and contemporary aesthetic.
