Abstract

Objective: To explore the relationship between personality traits and relapse tendency of drug addicts. Methods: 187 drug addicts were tested on the relapse tendency scale, and the results were analyzed by SPSS24.0. Results: (1) there is no difference in demographic variables in personality traits of drug users, and there is significant difference in the number of relapse tendencies entering drug rehabilitation centers; (2) there is a high correlation between personality traits and relapse tendency, in which there is significant negative correlation between inclination and relapse tendency, and stability and mental quality and relapse tendency. Conclusion: The close association between personality traits and the relapse tendency provides a new perspective for us to better understand the relapse tendency of drug users and their influencing factors.
