Abstract

Enterprise innovation and sustainable development are critical priorities in the digital economy to guarantee competitive advantage and long-term sustainability. This paper aims to identify and understand the intersection of digital transformation, innovation management, and sustainability, focusing on elucidating how information technology is a key enabler of organizational growth and sustainability performance. Based on a literature review and case analysis, this paper demystifies how enterprises can adopt technology to support innovation for sustainability purposes. It appears that the most practicable recommendations that successful companies follow within the context of the digital economy are perfecting the need for sustainable innovation. Strategies are recommended for firms that want to be successful in the digital world and are determined to remain environmentally and socially sustainable.
