Abstract

This paper analyzes the ethical problems encountered by the elderly in China when using smart phones, such as information security and operation problems. Despite the convenience of smartphones, older people also face challenges, such as difficult password entry and poor operating experience. By investigating the elderly in Shanghai, the article explores their experiences and difficulties in smart life, and proposes improvement strategies, including strengthening intergenerational integration, providing assistance and improving smart device design to create a safer and more convenient environment. The study emphasizes the importance of social care and support for the elderly, and suggests that the needs of the elderly should be considered when designing smart devices to improve their quality of life and promote social harmony.
