Under the background of the rapid development of emerging media, in order to enhance the influence of public education in art galleries and promote the public to feel the artistic charm more intuitively and effectively, many domestic art galleries have begun to use new media in all aspects of public education and public service in art galleries, and gradually transformed into new art galleries. After the transformation, the art museum will no longer be a research institution for collection and display in the traditional sense, but a multi-functional place integrating many aspects such as academics, consumption, entertainment, service and experience. The public education in art galleries will also undergo new changes. This paper will discuss the characteristics of public education in art galleries with the help of new media functions.
