Research on the Participation and Role Positioning of Lawyers in China's Legal Aid System

Abstract

As key participants in the legal aid system, lawyers' roles and practices in legal aid work have garnered significant attention. This article aims to explore the involvement of lawyers in China's legal aid system and their role positioning, analyze their functions and impacts on legal aid work, and address the issues and challenges of lawyer participation in legal aid by providing corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. The paper reviews the development of China's legal aid system, analyzes the status and function of lawyers within the system, and examines the basic conditions, work content, and practical impacts of lawyers' participation in legal aid. Finally, the article presents the existing problems and challenges and proposes relevant countermeasures and suggestions. It recommends strengthening the guidance and management of lawyers' participation in legal aid work, further improving legal aid systems and policies, enhancing the quality and level of legal aid services, and establishing a sound incentive mechanism and service guarantee system for lawyers' participation in legal aid to better harness their role in legal aid work.
