Abstract

Plantar fasciitis is a frequent, chronic ailment that significantly affects day-to-day functioning. This review takes a deep look at the different therapies and preventions used in the treatment of this condition to improve foot function, reduce pain, and improve patient outcomes. The efficacy of common treatment options such as physical therapy, medication, stretching, night splints, therapeutic ultrasound, and extracorporeal shock wave therapy has been mentioned again in this study. Moreover, the importance of injection treatment and surgery also play a significant role in the management of plantar fasciitis. In addition to conventional treatment, the health care professional also needs to pay attention to the prevention of this overuse foot injury. The available approaches involve stretching the particular posterior muscles of the low limbs. Eventually, the impact of interdisciplinary considerations, including physiological factors and strength training methods, on plantar fasciitis was explored in order to provide a certain theoretical basis for clinical practice.
