Abstract

Ceramic membrane - ozonation coupling is a promising wastewater treatment process, which combines the functions of membrane filtration rejection and advanced oxidation degradation. Abundant experimental studies have been carried out on this coupling system, but there is still a lack of comprehensive review. In this paper, the latest progress of this system is reviewed. Firstly, the configuration of the coupling system is briefly introduced. Then, the mechanism of the system is introduced. In particular, the structural characteristics of the CM are discussed. Finally, the formation type and prevention of membrane fouling are discussed and emphasized.
